HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The HavaLight experience started in Dec 2004 in New York City. Founders Gilles Amsallem and Georges Benoliel had a vision: as open minded, fun loving French Jews in the Big Apple, they were seeking a unique social scene and exclusive events for people of their like. So they presented NYC with HavaLight.

HAVA WHAT?

(When a non smoker asks you Do you have a light? think twice before answering) HavaLight (pronounced: ha-va-lie-t)- Hava means lets in Hebrew. Light stands for the chill, laid back atmosphere of the happenings, and also emphasizes the fact that the group is unaffiliated in nature, enabling practically anyone to feel at home right away. So, do you HavaLight?!

WERE PROUD OF OUR CROWD!

A members only club (you need to be a member to attend an event, or be invited by a member), HavaLight creates a platform for connecting the creme de la creme of the international young professional crowd in town in a cozy yet super-chic environment. If its trendy, glamorous, and vibrant- its definitely HavaLight. To facilitate the terrific flow of new people (in-and-out-of-towners) and to introduce people to one another, we have a great team of friendly hosts who circle around and make sure you are comfortable and having a fantastic time.

HAPPENINGS IN STYLE

HavaLight has hosted over a 100 events. In a city as exciting as New York, we found it indispensable to keep the excitement going by introducing our sophisticated crowd with the best urban entertainment, enhancing the special sense of community that we share. Our events are energetic and generate an exceptional balance of a party and a lounge feeling, so you can actually talk with all the great people you meet. We focus on a few main themes:

International- we have had a Brazilian night, a Moroccan feast, a Spanish evening, and that's just the beginning
Special Events- the unforgettable White Party, Fashion Week, Roaring 20s, Bath Party, Flamenco night
Arts- 20 movie screenings at the Bryant Park Hotel, Book releases, Gallery cocktails etc.
